For the second time this month, tons of packages of frozen vegetables have been recalled from national retailers.
According to an announcement posted by the Food and Drug Administration, CRF Frozen Foods has issued a voluntary recall on at least 15 frozen vegetable products sold Costco and Meijer stores around the U.S. and parts of Canada.
The Washington-based company claims it decided to recall the frozen products after learning that some packages may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
As CRF Frozen Foods announced, the recall will cover certain products by:
True Goodness By Meijer
Wellsley Farms Organic
Organic By Nature
Schwan’s frozen vegetables
As of now, there have been no reports of illness as a result of consuming the frozen vegetables, but CRF Frozen Foods has urged customers not to eat anything that may be compromised.
According to the Consumerist, the affected products were sold between September 13, 2015 and March 16, 2016.
