These days, trying to get a child to read a book every once in a while can feel like pulling teeth for many parents.

It’s becoming all too common for kids to pick playing a video game or watching TV over reading a good old-fashioned book.

But Reddit user crashfromspace never has to worry about keeping up with his daughter’s reading habits.

“She will demolish a book. Judy Blume, Gary Paulsen, Lemony Snicket, it matters not, she reads it,” the proud dad wrote in a recent post on Reddit.

In fact, this 8-year-old is so obsessed with reading that she’ll find a way to read absolutely anywhere—even in the bathtub.

You don’t have to be a kid to understand how hard it is to read in the tub, without getting water all over your favorite book.

Lucky for crashfromspace, his daughter’s latest invention allows her to have her book and read it too—all from the comfort of her own tub.

As Dad explains, his daughter has put together a leash-and-hook contraption that connects to her book, which has “a strap that held the case on a kindle fire.”

This incredible invention means his daughter can read any book inside the tub—even heavy books—without water damage.
