It can be hard to relate to celebrity parents. They usually have a host of help, much more money than we do, and just overall live in a world much different than our own. While it can be easy to be envious of celebrity moms and dads, every once in awhile one star will do something that completely changes our minds.

Former Disney Channel star and mother of 1, Hilary Duff, posted a photo on Instagram about motherhood, and it’s no going viral. Once you see it, you’ll understand why.

Duff took to her Instagram page to share a poem written by Rachel Zucker, entitled “Hours Days Years Unmoor Their Orbits”. Duff currently stars in the television show, “Younger” and the poem was given to her by co-star, Peter Herman. Duff had revealed to Herman that she had really been missing her 5-year-old son, Luca, and the poem really hit her hard.

“tonight I'm cleaning baby portobellos
for you, my young activist
wiping the dirty tops with a damp cloth
as carefully as I used to rinse raspberries
for you to adorn your fingertips
before eating each blood-red prize
these days you rarely look me in the eye
& your long shagged hair hides your smile
I don't expect you to remember or
understand the many ways I've kept you
alive or the life my love for you
has made me live” the poem reads.

“I have to spend many days sometimes weeks away from luca when shooting and he gave me this poem when I was desperate to see and hold my boy.” Hilary wrote on her Instagram page, along with a photo of the poem. “Tears started falling down my face at the last four lines and still do when I read it. Motherhood is the greatest gift I have ever received. Everyday a new adventure or hurdle. My heart has grown bigger than I can explain. I think every mother or parent will find this poem as moving as I do”.

What do you think of the poem?
