No matter how much we post and talk about the inconsistencies when it comes to women’s clothing, nothing ever seems to change, does it? Sizes like 0,1, 3, and 5 don’t really make sense at all, especially when there are so many varying body types out there.

Despite this, women constantly face the struggles of trying to find clothes that fit just right amongst sizes that are completely different from store to store. One Instagram user named Katy decided to shed some light on just how ridiculous shopping for clothes can be with this hurdle in the way.

While shopping at Express, she tried on two different pairs of denim leggings, which were marked as being the exact same size and cut.

“these are both a size 10 short from express in their low rise leggings.” Katy explained.
However, when Katy tried them on, she had two very different experiences.

The first pair barely made it up Katy’s thighs, and then the second pair hung loose around her waist!

She posted photos of herself trying on the leggings, writing: “LOL sizing is SUCH bulls***.” Despite the fact the the pants are supposed to be the same size and cut (and are even from the same store!) one pair was far to small for the woman, while the other pair was too big!

“The one was a hair too big & the other didn't even go over my thighs” Katy wrote on Instagram alongside the photos. “My reason for sharing is...If you ever find yourself in a fitting room ready to bust into tears when something doesn't fit (we've all been there, myself included...millions of times...ask my mom) REMEMBER THIS PIC!”

Being a woman who has gone clothes shopping countless times, Katy knows how frustrating it can be. It’s easy for females to get down on themselves during situations like these, feeling like they're either too fat or too skinny, or that they just don’t have the “right” kind of body in general. Katy hopes that her post will show how ridiculous this notion is, and that it seems like it’s nearly impossible to find clothes that fit, at least consistently.

“There are times I'm a small, times I cant even muscle into a large, times a 10 falls off my hips & times, like this, it doesn't even get past my thighs. Sizing is silly...no one will know if you had to bump up or down because of the cut, style, or likely completely wrong sizing on the store's part. You mean so much more than fitting into the smallest size you can. Our value should never come from a number...on the scale or in our clothes.” she wrote.

What do you think about Katy’s post? Have you ever had a similar experience?
